EXHAUST PURIFYING DEVICE

An exhaust purifying device adapted such that the temperature of an oxidation catalyst (C2) provided in an exhaust system and capable of purifying ammonia can be more appropriately adjusted. The exhaust purifying device has a selective reduction type NOx catalyst (C1) provided in an exhaust path (P) and purifying NOx in the presence of ammonia, an oxidation catalyst (C2) provided downstream of the selective reduction type NOx catalyst (C1), and a heat storage material (TSM) mounted between the selective reduction type NOx catalyst (C1) and the oxidation catalyst (C2) and capable of storing heat of exhaust gas. Preferably, the phase transition temperature of the heat storage material (TSM) is that temperature of the oxidation catalyst (C2) which is within an ammonia purification temperature region.
