<p>The present invention relates to a vehicle tyre, more particularly to a bicycle tyre. According to the invention, said tyre (1) comprises: a self-supporting inner tube (3), that avoids the risk of punctures and can assure by itself the correct load resistance of the tyre; and outer envelope (5), surrounding said inner tube (3) and held against the rim (10) of a vehicle wheel; and a damping element (7), provided between said inner tube (3) and said rim (10) when the tyre (1) is mounted on said rim (10) and allowing to absorb vibrations and to prevent the transmission thereof from the inner tube (3) to the vehicle and to the user. Advantageously, said outer envelope (5) can be chosen so as to provide for the maximum smoothness, so as to assure improved performances in terms of speed.</p> |
