<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniform the brightness of a light emission surface of each light guide plate without requiring brightness adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: The light emission surface 13 of a first light guide plate 12 and the light emission surface 23 of a second light guide plate 22 are arranged adjacent to each other to form the same plane. A diffused reflection surface 14 is formed on the entire counter surface to the light emission surface 13. The second light guide plate 22 includes a total reflection area T<SB>b</SB>having a lamination portion L<SB>a</SB>laminated with the first light guide plate 12 and a diffused reflection area D<SB>a</SB>having a light emission surface 23 adjacent to the light emission surface 13. A diffused reflection surface 24 is formed on the entire counter surface to the light emission surface 23 in the diffused reflection area D<SB>a</SB>.
