摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element whose light transmission properties to a far infrared ray is selectively enhanced and which has a crystalline silicon as a member, and to provide a simple method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: Ruggedness of 0.01 to 0.5μm average roughness (Ra) measured by a stylus method is provided on the surface of the optical element worked in the shape of a lens, a plate shaped body or the like and made of the crystalline silicon. Thereby, the optical element of high performance selectively having the light transmissive properties to the far infrared ray is obtained, while maintaining high light transmission properties of the far infrared ray, scattering the infrared ray of a middle infrared ray and a near infrared ray to reduce light transmission properties thereof.
