<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a connection work with little labor of a worker because it is not necessary to hold a compression connector by the worker by moving and stopping the compression connector at the optimum position, being supported by a supporting device for exclusive use which is fixed to a cross arm, without handing the compression connector on a rope during the connection work of a jumper line on a transmission line tower. <P>SOLUTION: The device for supporting the compression connector includes: a fixed base 2 removably fixed to a cross arm 51 extended from a transmission line tower; a first lateral moving section 10 that extends downward from the fixed base and is supported by the fixed base in such a manner as to move forward and backward in a first lateral direction A; a vertical moving section 20 so supported by the first lateral moving section as to move up and down; and a compression connector supporting section 30 so supported by the vertical moving section as to move forward and backward in a second lateral direction C perpendicular to the first lateral direction to support a compression connector 60.
