<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a pinion gear to be supported through a small bearing without changing a structure of a spool shaft and the pinion gear in a spinning reel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The pinion gear 12 is rotatably supported by an inner ring 14e of the fourth bearing 14d through a supporting part 82 of a pinion-supporting member 80 of a stainless alloy thin plate attached and fixed to the rear part of the second cylindrical part 12i, and supports the outer periphery of the spool shaft 15. The pinion-supporting member 80 is a cylindrical member made of the stainless alloy thin plate, and has a fixed part 81 installed on the front terminal side and to be attached and fixed to the rear part of the second cylindrical part 12i, and a supporting part 82 integrally formed with the fixed part 81, installed on the rear terminal part side, supported by the inner ring 14e of the fourth bearing 14d, and supporting the outer periphery of the spool shaft 15 so as to be freely rotatable.
