PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting the submergence of an optical fiber closure is provided to confirm whether the optical fiber closure is submerged without the opening of the optical fiber closure. CONSTITUTION: A moisture absorbing body(140) conducts a current which is applied to the power input terminal of an optical fiber closure according to a moisture absorption state. A voltage is applied to a transistor(110) through the moisture absorbing body and conducts a current. A light emitting diode(120) is connected with the output terminal of the transistor. The illuminated state of the light emitting diode is regulated by conducting the transistor.
