PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute update processing of a program of a microprocessor to be updated without enabling use of all functions, with respect to a device having a plurality of microprocessors. SOLUTION: A management device for managing a system including a plurality of control devices each of which executes a program, includes a means for instructing a first control device to execute program update processing and a means for instructing a second control device to execute the alternative processing of processing to be executed by the first control device which becomes inexecutable when the first control device executes the program update processing.
