<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out outline correction and interpolation pixel generation in accordance with a pattern. <P>SOLUTION: This outline correction circuit includes: a correlation direction determination part determining the correlation direction between pixels for respective pixel positions of an input image to output the correlation direction determination result; an emphasis band component extraction part for extracting, as emphasis band components, frequency band components based on the correlation direction determination result from the respective pixels of the input image; an outline emphasis processing part for subjecting the respective pixels of the input image to outline emphasis processing using the emphasis band components; and an interpolation pixel generation part for generating an interpolation pixel using the pixels subjected to the outline emphasis processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
