摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control wheel cylinder pressure by effectively making the most of working fluid pressure pressurized by stepping force of a driver. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This brake control device includes a wheel cylinder pressure control system for controlling upstream pressure common to a plurality of wheel cylinders by making a power fluid pressure source for accumulating pressure of working fluid by supply of power as a high pressure source. The brake control device further includes a master cylinder unit with a fluid pressure booster including a master cylinder for pressurizing the working fluid stored according to a relation between stroke of a brake pedal fixed in advance and the working fluid pressure and a regulator for pressure-regulating the working fluid according to the working fluid pressure of the master cylinder by making the power fluid pressure source as the high pressure source. The brake control device makes control fluid pressure by a wheel cylinder pressure control system lower than the working fluid pressure obtained according to the relation between the stroke and the working fluid pressure in the master cylinder unit in at least a prescribed stroke range.
