The sealing system (1) has two pressure chambers (2,4) which are connected over an intermediate chamber (6). The intermediate chamber is connected over a guiding channel (10) with the third pressure chamber (12). A sealing segment (8) is arranged in the guiding channel, which is moved along the guiding channel and extends in the intermediate chamber. An independent claim is also included for a steam turbine with a shaft.
