761,805. Seats. DRABERT, F. April 7,1954. No. 10279/54. Class 52 (2). A reclining chair has its seat and back frames 6, 7 adjustably mounted on a support framework at the apex of the obtuse angle they make with each other, stops 9 limiting them in the lying position and the frames 6, 7 being foldable when removed from the support framework. Two closed tubular frames 5 connected by struts 4 and having a support 12, foldable at 13, form the support framework. The seat and back frames 6, 7, having a textile material 2 stretched between them and being pivoted together at 3, are supported in the frames 5 by their fork shaped ends 14 mounting on pins 8 therein. On the back rest frame is arranged a head pillow 10. For fixing the frames 6 and 7 in position, a rod 15, pivoted at 16 to the frame 7, is clamped by a knurled screw 17 to the support structure 5. Frames 6 and 7 on their removal off pins 8, can be folded about pivot 3. A further embodiment, Figs. 12 and 14, has the frames 6, 7 supported on one side on a non-rotatable pin 27 passing through the frames 6 and 7 and a cross strut 28 of the support framework. A toothed portion 25 formed on the surface of a disc 23 welded to the cross-strut 28 meshes with a toothed portion 24 on one of the fork shaped members 14 for locking when the pin 27 is displaced axially to the right by a hand screw 19, 20.
