PURPOSE: A novel oxazolidin and indole compounds are provided to suppress IL-6 or IL-11 signal system and use as an agent for anti-cancer and anti-inflammation. CONSTITUTION: A novel oxazolidin and indole compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1 is hydrogen, straight, side, or cyclo alkyl of C1-C10, or substituted or non-substituted benzyl; and R2 is hydrogen or straight, side, or cyclo alkyl of C1-C10. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cancer or inflammatory diseases contains the compound of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt. The inflammatory disease is caused by IL-6 or IL-11.
