PURPOSE: A surface inspection device for an electronic appliance case having generality is provided to precisely take pictures of various shapes of cases by changing the angle and the location of the camera depending on the shape or the size of the case to be inspected. CONSTITUTION: A surface inspection device(1) for an electronic appliance case comprises a main body, a servo motor and a ball screw. On the main body, a plurality of guides(11) on which a rail is formed are installed. On the guide, a movable object(12) moving along the rail in a straight line is installed. A camera(30) is installed on the movable object. The servo motor is installed between the guide and the movable object and inversely rotates by the control of controllers(41,42). The ball screw makes the movable object move along the rail by the inverse rotation of the servo motor. The camera is placed on a transfer belt(22) by the control of the controller and is moved in a straight line depending on the size of the case provided.
