<p>The invention relates to a mechanism for actuating a valve in a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine. According to the invention, the mechanism has a lift valve (3) placed in a cylinder head (2) and it is driven in the opening direction by an opening spring member (8) and in the closing direction by a lever (10) swinging against a force (6 a) of the opening spring member (8). The swinging lever (10) rests on a support (12) with a variable stroke and on a swinging bearing (14), the opening of the lift valve (13) being adjustable in a variable manner, and namely in that the support (12) comprises a closing spring member (17) actuating against the force (6 a) of the opening spring member (8) and the swinging bearing (14) moves with an oscillating stroke (15), oscillating along the extension of the swinging lever (10) in longitudinal direction. The opening and the closing spring members (8 and 17) rest on some supports (30 a and 30 b), and at least one of the supports (30 a and 30 b) may be lifted in order to modify the force (6 a) of the spring members (8 and 17).</p> |
