A method of treating a container is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: arranging a dispenser in the container where the dispenser senses light within the container and emits a dispensable material only when the light is below a predetermined level, activating the dispenser or leaving it activated if it is already activated, closing the container so that there is less light within the container than when the container is open where the amount of light within the closed container is below the predetermined level, and allowing the dispenser to automatically release the dispensable material within the container at timed intervals.
