<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for an elevator, capable of further suitably excluding drain water generated by an evaporator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner 10 for the elevator includes the evaporator 28 vaporizing a liquefied refrigerant, a condenser 38 condensing and liquefying the refrigerant vaporized by the evaporator 28, a tank part 34 storing the drain water generated by the evaporator 38, a water level detecting part for detecting the water level of the drain water stored in the tank part 34, and an ultrasonic vibrator part 36 vibrating in the drain water when the water level of the drain water stored in the tank part 34 becomes a predetermined value or more.
