A method for producing an organic light emitting device having an anode, a layer containing an electron accepting organic compound, a hole transporting layer containing an organic compound, a light emitting layer containing a macromolecular compound, and a cathode in this order, the layer containing the electron accepting organic compound being in contact with the anode and the hole transporting layer, wherein the layer containing the electron accepting organic compound is formed by producing a film by using a composition comprising the electron accepting organic compound and an organic solvent, and then melting the film.
