The invention relates to a hinge arrangement for an airbag flap hinged on a dashboard. The dashboard body of an automobile (1) includes an opening closed by a flap (4), the opening and the flap both being defined by a generally rectangular outline (3), the flap being capable of opening for enabling the expansion of an airbag. The invention also comprises one or more linear links (11-14) attached to a face of the dashboard body so that portions (43, 44) of the linear links overlap an outline portion (6) extending transversally relative to the vehicle on which said dashboard is to be mounted in order to define or reinforce a hinge (AX) through which the flap is hinged on the dashboard body. The invention pertains to automotive safety.
