PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of surely preventing a detection element from wetting without degrading responsiveness of the detection element.
SOLUTION: Exhaust gas flowing into a first gap 129 through an outer introduction pore 125 is blocked by an inner periphery wall 132, and the detection element 10 is prevented from wetting. In addition, since the flow of the exhaust gas flowing into the first gap 129 is directed forward by a louver 126 and thus the detection element 10 is not exposed directly to the flow, the detection element 10 is prevented from wetting. Moreover, an inner flow pore 135 is disposed to the side of back-end rather than the outer introduction pore 125, moisture is not introduced into a gas detection room 140 from the inner flow pore 135 due to swirl motion etc. of the exhaust gas and thus the detection element 10 is protected from wetting.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
