<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve light utilization efficiency in a light source device having a solid-state light-emitting element such as a light-emitting diode (LED) or a semiconductor laser (LD). <P>SOLUTION: A light source device manufacturing method is configured as follows. Positioning means 10B, 15B are provided to position a collimating member 5 at a prescribed position on a substrate 3 such that a solid-state light-emitting element 9 is located at a focal point of a paraboloidal reflecting surface of the collimating member 5. The collimating member 5 is assembled by positioning the collimating member at the prescribed position on the substrate 3 with the positioning means 10B, 15B. By this, the collimating member 5 can be assembled by easily and quickly positioning the collimating member at the prescribed position, thereby reliably improving light utilization efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
