The dosing device has an operating device for actuating individual elements of the device and designed as a double action hydraulic cylinder (15). The hydraulic cylinder has two cylinder spaces (25, 26) that are sealed against each other by pistons (24). A by-pass line (28) is arranged in a base (27) of a piston rod (22) and connects the cylinder spaces with each other. A check valve (29) is arranged in the by-pass line and opens when the pressure rises above 5 bar. A connection line (20) is connected to one of the cylinder spaces associated to the base of the piston.
