<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam joining method for effectively executing the laser beam joining of a ribbon to an electrode pad by suppressing deposition of spatter on an inner wall surface of a laser beam application nozzle. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam joining method comprises a first laser beam irradiation step of heating and melting spatter 6 deposited on an inner circumferential surface of a laser beam irradiation nozzle 5 and dropping the molten spatter on a ribbon 4, and a second laser beam irradiation step of emitting the laser beam to the ribbon 4 to execute the laser beam joining of the ribbon 4 with an electrode pad 3 by emitting the laser beam to the ribbon 4. Deposition of the spatter 6 on the inner wall surface of the laser beam irradiation nozzle 5 is suppressed, and the ribbon 4 can be effectively subjected to the laser beam joining to the electrode pad 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
