PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink tank which keeps a pigment ink density uniform, and enables a high image quality image to be recorded. SOLUTION: The ink tank includes: a first ink reservoir to reserve ink to be supplied to a subtank; a first ink delivery passage to supply the ink reserved in the first ink reservoir to an ink supply connection port; a second ink reservoir to reserve ink returned from the subtank; and a second ink delivery passage to supply the ink reserved in the second ink reservoir to the ink supply connection port. A odne-way valve is provided in the first ink delivery passage, and the second ink delivery passage joints together with the first ink delivery passage between the one-way valve and the ink supply connection port.
