PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a waist belt for disposable diapers which method produces a waist belt that is easily changed, prevents excretions from leak, having an absorbent body unlikely to slip sideways or bite into the crotch, and moreover has good appearance, and further that is featured in less waste volume produced from the manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the waist belt includes a step (A) to obtain a flexible sheet including a long band sheet, first and second flexible around-leg members added to the long sheet in the way that these flexible members can each show a locus at a predetermined position on the long sheet, a step (B) to obtain two predetermined intermediate sheets by cutting the flexible sheet according to a predetermined cutting line, a step (C) to obtain a predetermined laminate by laminating the two intermediate sheets together, a step (D) to obtain a joined body with a joint by joining the two intermediate sheets together at a predetermined position, and a step (E) to obtain the waist belt by cutting the joined body along the locus that splits the joint in the transverse direction of the joined body.
