PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimming device capable of switching a plurality of compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamps to an optional dimming level simultaneously by a simple operation. SOLUTION: When switching is carried out from a light-off state to a light-on state, or from a relatively low dimming level to a relatively high dimming level, a control unit 4 supplies power larger than a power corresponding to dimming level data, then it controls power supply parts l<SB>1</SB>to l<SB>4</SB>to supply power corresponding to the dimming level data. Therefore, it hardly occurs that the compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamps La1 to La4 do not light on or go off due to lack of power-feeding volumes. When an operation input corresponding to scene data is received, a plurality of compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamps La1 to La4 are controlled to the dimming level of the dimming level data included in the scene data.
