PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance in multiprocessing in an auxiliary storage device which performs access in units of pages by enabling simultaneous acceptance of a plurality of writing requests and reading requests for the same page. SOLUTION: Each of host adapters 10a to 10n includes a page administration table 13 which manages the use states of real pages 21a to 21p which are writing targets in a shared memory 20, and temporary pages 22a to 22q to which data is temporarily written during real page access while associating them with each other. When the real page 21 is being accessed, a temporary page use right obtaining section 11 obtains the temporary page 22 from the shared memory 20 and writes data from a host computer 1.
