PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester that has a small-sized engine and a small displacement and reduces a fuel consumption. SOLUTION: The combine harvester 1 includes a first engine 70 for supplying power to a traveling part 10 and a threshing cylinder 32 forming a part of a threshing part 30, a motor group 83 for supplying power to a threshing part 20, a feed chain 31 forming a part of the threshing part 30, a selection part 40, a grain treatment part 50 and a waste straw treatment part 60, a buttery 82 for supplying electric power to each motor of the motor group 83, a generator 81 for charging the battery 82, a second engine 80 for operating the generator 81, a means 93 for detecting the number of revolutions of the second engine 80, a control means 90 for controlling the second engine 80 and each motor of the motor group 83 and a reaping state detection means 95 for detecting the state of the reaping part 20. The control means 90 reduces the number of revolutions of the second engine 80 to a preset number of revolutions of the engine when the reaping part 20 is in a stopped state.
