<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner and an air conditioner suppressing galvanization of a heat exchanger caused by dissimilar metal joining with a bottom plate without restricting compactification of the outdoor unit. <P>SOLUTION: The outdoor unit of the air conditioner includes: the bottom plate 30; the heat exchanger 10 arranged on the bottom plate 30 and having a fin 11 comprising aluminum or an aluminum alloy; and a spacer 20 arranged between the heat exchanger 10 and the bottom plate 30. The surface of the spacer 20 comprises metal electrochemically baser than aluminum or the aluminum alloy constituting the fin 11.
