<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting structure of a telescopic shaft which supports the telescopic shaft rotatably and telescopically. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The support structure 34 is provided with a bushing 50 for supporting an intermediate shaft 5 as the telescopic shaft, which includes an inner shaft 29 and a cylindrical outer shaft 30 fitted so as to be slidable relatively to the axial direction A1 and to make torque transmittable between both shafts and a plurality of balls 31 provided astride axial direction grooves 42 formed on the outside circumference of the inner shaft 29 and axial direction grooves 45 formed on the inside circumference of the outer shaft 30. The bushing 50 is supported rotatably and immovably in the axial direction A1 by a bearing 52 via an interposing member 49. Also, the bushing 50, which is elastically deformable in the radial direction R1, is elastically fitted to the outside circumference of the outer shaft 30 so as to be rotatable together.
