PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavation bucket in which the outer surface of a bottom plate is surely prevented from being worn and a method of manufacturing the excavation bucket. SOLUTION: In this excavation bucket 7 having the bottom plate 15, multiple lines of deposit beads 41 including hard particles are formed on the outer surface of the bottom plate 15 in the directions parallel to each other and orthogonal to the sediment flow direction Q<SB>A</SB>during the excavation. The excavation bucket 7 is manufactured using a method involving a step of forming, parallel to each other, the multiple lines of deposit beads 41 including hard particles on one side plate surface of a flat plate 70, a step of forming a deposit plate 31 stackable on the outer surface of the bottom plate 15 with the deposit beads 41 disposed in the direction orthogonal to the sediment flow direction QA during the excavation by bending the portions between the mutually adjacent deposit beads 41 in such a manner that one side plate surface of the flat plate 70 faces outward, and a step of welding and joining the deposit plate 31 to the outer surface of the bottom plate 15.
