<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a processing time in a system in which an image processor transfers image data with ID information to a server, and the server processes an application program for providing a solution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image processor reads an image from a document with ID information embedded therein and the image is made into data, and transfers partial image data including the ID information before transferring compressed image data to a server connected through a network, and the server side extracts the ID information from the partial image data before decompressing the compressed image data.
