<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly dry a medium to be recorded after executing recording, in a recorder equipped with a dryer for drying the medium to be recorded after executing the recording. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A relative temperature difference is measured in portions relatively different in ink injection densities of a recording paper sheet P after passed through the first hot air unit 11, by a temperature sensor 13 (step S1). The presence of the relative measured temperature difference is determined thereafter (step S2). A drying function of the second hot air unit 14 is stopped not to dry the recording paper sheet P by the second hot air unit 14 (step S3), when no temperature difference is determined (No in the step S2). On the other hand, the recording paper sheet P is dried continuously by the second hot air unit 14 (step S4), when no temperature difference is determined to exist (Yes in the step S2).
