The present invention is a power plant protection system comprising four channels that control the system that determines the abnormal condition of power generation equipment according to the results of comparison logic wherein certain settings have been set up for each process variable, to either stop the power generation equipment or alleviate the abnormal condition of the power generation equipment; each of the four channels comprises a comparison logic part that performs comparison logic on the process variables and settings to generate comparison logic information that indicates the presence of trip per process variable and transmits the generated comparison logic information to four channels; a simultaneous logic part that collects the comparison logic information generated by the four channels and performs local simultaneous logic on the comparison logic information collected for each process variable to generate the simultaneous logic information related to an action for power plant protection; and an initialization circuit part that performs simultaneous logic on the simultaneous logic information generated for each power plant protection action, to generate an initialization signal that initiates a power plant protection action.
