The method involves adding a luminescence substance into an adhesive, where the adhesive is in accordance with the standard DIN EN 923. Two components are joined by applying and hardening the adhesive. Adhesive joints are broken by separation of the components. A fracture surface for luminescence substance is activated. An actual portion of bright adhesive residues is determined on the fracture surface. The determined actual portion is compared with a target portion of adhesive residues.
