The present invention relates to a method for filtering fluids, such as filtering beverages like beer or the like. According to the invention, non-filtrate is fed at a non-filtrate pressure (P1) to a non-filtrate chamber (6a) having at least one filter element (8) located therein. The non-filtrate is filtered in the non-filtrate chamber (6a) through the filter element (8) and is drawn as a filtrate with a filtrate pressure (P2). According to the invention, the non-filtrate pressure (P1) and the filtrate pressure (P2) are kept constant within the scope of a preset differential pressure (P) over a longer period of time.
