<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straight-tube LED illumination device which can be suitably achieved as a long LED illumination device in the longitudinal direction. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device 1 includes a support body 21 for supporting solid-state light-emitting elements 26, and a housing 3 having the support body 21 disposed in a hollow structure along the longitudinal direction and being translucent at least in the light-emitting direction of the solid-state light-emitting elements 26. The support body 21 and a predetermined region on the inner wall surface of a hollow structure of the housing 3 are airtightly disposed, and the predetermined region is positioned on both side surfaces symmetric with respect to the center axis of an arbitrary end surface perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the housing 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
