PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even a general player to easily and accurately execute the distribution of possessed game media. SOLUTION: A game system includes: a game device 3 for reading number-of-possessed-game-media specifying information from a game recording medium and performing processing for using the number of the possessed game media for the game; and a distributor 5 for transmitting a distribution request including distribution origin number-of-possessed-game-media specifying information of a received distribution origin game recording medium and distribution destination number-of-possessed-game-media specifying information of a received distribution destination game recording medium to a management device 150 which manages the number of possessed game media. The management device 150 subtracts the number of distribution game media from the number of the possessed game media of the distribution origin to update it corresponding to the reception of the distribution request, registers the distribution destination number-of-possessed-game-media specifying information as the distribution destination game recording medium, and permits the use of the number of the possessed game media to which the number of the distribution game media is added on condition that the distribution destination number-of-possessed-game-media specifying information transmitted from the game device corresponding to the reception of the distribution destination game recording medium matches with the registration.
