<p>The normal starting of an OS is ensured regardless of the kind of OS when a system configuration is changed. All possible system configurations of an information processor are defined in system configuration information. The system configuration information is changed by disabling or deleting an unnecessary device from the system configuration information at the time of power-on. As a result, the system configuration information after change is passed to the OS by the firmware, thus making it possible to ensure the normal starting of the OS regardless of the kind of OS when the system configuration is changed.</p> |
