<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress high temperature of developer even if the temperature of the bearing of the rotation shaft of each developer conveying member increases in a developer agitation circulation type developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 4 suppresses rotation failure of each conveying member, due to sticking of developer between the rotation shaft and the bearing. A device 46 for pushing back developer so as to be separate from the bearing when developer circulation is stopped due to the stop of the conveying members 43 and 44, is disposed at least at one of the developer conveyance-out side ends of the first and second conveying members 43 and 44.
