<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing trans-1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid (t-CHDA) having high concentration by efficiently isomerizing cis-1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid (c-CHDA) by a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing t-CHDA, the t-CHDA is produced by a step of: heating a mixture of c-CHDA and t-CHDA (crude CHDA) more than the melting point of c-CHDA; isomerizing the c-CHDA by keeping the mixture below the melting point of the t-CHDA; precipitating the t-CHDA formed by isomerization in the molten c-CHDA; and separating and recovering the t-CHDA precipitated in the molten c-CHDA. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
