<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system or the like for giving significant information. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing system includes a first apparatus, a second apparatus and a third apparatus. The first apparatus includes a first communication means (18) for transmitting or receiving data in accordance with a first wireless personal area communication scheme (infrared communication), and the second apparatus includes a second communication means (26) for transmitting or receiving data in accordance with a second wireless personal area communication scheme different from the first wireless personal area communication scheme. The third apparatus includes a third communication means (39) and a fourth communication means (38). The third communication means transmits or receives data in accordance with the first wireless personal area communication scheme. The fourth communication means transmits or receives data in accordance with the second wireless personal area communication scheme.
