<p>The invention provides the ability to integrate an intelligent Whitelisting system into an Anti-Spam system. This provides a significant reduction in False Positives and confidence that legitimate e-mail messages cannot be blocked by the Anti-Spam system. The invention is designed to sit alongside a conventional Anti-Spam system, and be queried by the Mail Transport Agent (MTA). The Automated Whitelist Engine (AWE) system is supplied with enough data to ensure that it can make a decision that is passed back to the MTA. The MTA can then make use of this decision in any way it wishes, although guidelines for correct operation and interpretation of this decision may be provided.</p> |
