The bending press (1) has a press bar (20) which supports a tool bar (25) in a displacing direction in a guiding arrangement (31). Multiple positioning units (32) of a drive arrangement (26) are arranged between the press bar and the tool bar. The multiple positioning units are spaced from each other in the direction of a longitudinal extension of the press bar. The tool bar is made of aluminum or plastic, particularly fiber-reinforced plastic.
