<p>A single-mode optical fibre comprises a central core (r 1 , ”n 1 ), a first inner cladding (w 2 , ”n 2 ), a second inner cladding (w 3 , ”n 3 ) and an outer cladding. The optical fibre has an effective area at a wavelength of 1550 nm greater than or equal to 100 µm 2 . The optical fibre also has a cable cut-off wavelength less than 1260 nm; a zero chromatic dispersion wavelength comprised between 1300 nm and 1324 nm; and a dispersion slope less than 0.092 ps/nm 2 -km. The optical fibre has an effective area greater than 100 µm 2 while complying with the G.652 standard, with the exception of the specifications on the mode field diameter at a wavelength of 1310 nm.</p> |
