FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of preparing carbonaceous adsorbent and can be used in different industries for purifying waste water from liquid hydrocarbons, and for protecting the environment. Sunflower husks with size of 3 mm are taken. A suspension weighing 1000 g is prepared by mixing 62-85 g (6.2-8.5 wt %) calcium hydroxide, 53-75 g (5.3-7.5 wt %) carbamide and 840-880 ml (84.0-88.0 wt %) water. The prepared suspension is mixed with sunflower husks in ratio of 1:(0.06-0.10) pts. wt. The mixture is heated for 0.5-1.0 hours at 90-100C, washed with water and dried at 100-120C for 0.3-0.5 hours in a nitrogen current with flow intensity of 1.0-2.0 l/h. The mixture is then heated at a rate of 10-15 degrees/minute to 300-400C and held for 0.25-0.5 hours. ^ EFFECT: adsorbent with high density and buoyancy and low water absorption is obtained. ^ 2 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex |
