<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter having characteristics that excel in viewing angle expansion from an oblique direction, and to provide such a color filter, at low cost and with high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter includes a transparent substrate; a colored layer formed on the transparent substrate and composed of coloring patterns of a plurality of colors; and an overcoat layer formed so as to cover the transparent substrate and the colored layer. The overcoat layer is made of a material having Rth, as well as, the color filter is such that the film thickness of the overcoat is made different so that the coloring patterns of the respective colors in the colored layer and the Rth of the laminated part in the overcoat layer are made uniform, according to the Rth of the coloring patterns of the respective colors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
