<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond to detailed requests to image deformation processing from a user by clearly specifying an imaging area which can be an image deformation object intelligibly for a photographing person in an image capturing apparatus which performs the image deformation processing to a pick up image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image capturing apparatus includes: a camera 17 which captures an image; a display unit 19 on which a preview image of the image to be picked up is displayed; a data folder 14 which stores a photography template having a plurality of contour lines; and a main control unit 11 which displays the photography template by superposing it on the preview image, and performs the image deformation processing to at least one area among areas surrounded by the contour lines in the pick up image.
