PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear reactor building and a construction method for the same avoiding interference between a containment vessel penetrating part of a containment vessel made of steel and a building module having a steel plate concrete structure and shortening the construction period. SOLUTION: The nuclear reactor building 2 stores a containment vessel 1 having a plurality of containment vessel penetrating parts 3 therearound and has a steel plate concrete structure including a biological shielding wall 4 installed in the outside of the containment vessel. The containment vessel includes a plurality of blocks horizontally divided, and each block has one or a plurality of the containment vessel penetrating parts 3 on the same horizontal plane.
