METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ANALYZING BODY COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for analyzing a body composition are provided to enhance the reliability by selecting a result using a constant current and a result using a constant voltage according to a degree of bio-electrical impedance. CONSTITUTION: The constant current of the AC power is applied to the first positions of a human body. The amount of current is measured at a supply path of the constant current of the AC power. The measured amount of current is compared with the predetermined amount of current. The constant voltage of the AC power is applied to the first positions of the human body if the measured amount of current is not the predetermined amount of current. The voltage is measured at the second positions of the human body. The bio-electrical impedance is produced by using the measured voltage. A body composition is analyzed by using the bio-electrical impedance.
